After a decade-long run, the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center has announced that the March 2025 Kenny Norton Southeast Iowa Farm Show marked the final presentation of the annual event.
According to a statement from the Center, the decision came after careful consideration and ongoing feedback from long-time vendors and participants. Organizers noted that many exhibitors have shifted how they do business in recent years, with expos and trade shows playing a smaller role in their outreach following the pandemic. As a result, vendor participation and support have gradually declined.
The Center also recognized that other organizations in the region may now be better positioned to serve the evolving needs of the agri-business community. The Farm Show has been a fixture in Fairfield for ten years, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and customers from across Southeast Iowa.
In its announcement, the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center reaffirmed its commitment to its broader mission—creating transformational arts and community experiences. Leaders at the Center said they plan to focus more deeply on programs and events that align with that mission moving forward.
The organization also extended an open invitation for another group to continue the legacy of the Southeast Iowa Farm Show, offering support during any potential transition.
The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center expressed gratitude to the sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and attendees who contributed to the Farm Show’s success over the years, emphasizing the event’s lasting impact on the regional agricultural community.
