On October 5, 2025, we bid farewell to a truly remarkable man, Randy Dhamers, who graced this world with his presence on October 4, 1961, in Rock Island, Illinois.

A lifelong learner and a man of many talents, Randy was a pillar of his community in Centerville, Iowa, where he resided. He embodied the spirit of service and entrepreneurship, having enlisted in the United States Army, and he was a truck driver before owning and operating his successful electronic business, Vision Electronics. He was a master of jigsaw puzzles, and he had a knack for trading. Randy’s innate curiosity about the world led him to watch documentaries and war-related content, a testament to his thirst for knowledge. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Centerville. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and he loved the Beatles. Randy’s life was marked by love and commitment.

As a single father, he cherished every moment spent raising his children, Travis and Jessica. In 2016, he found love again and married Diana Peel. Together, they created an unbreakable bond and became foster parents in 2019, and were still actively fostering. They also adopted two of their grandchildren in 2022.

Randy was a beacon of strength and compassion to those who knew him, and despite his absence, his legacy will continue to inspire.

Randy is survived by his wife Diana of Centerville, four children, Travis Dhamers, Jessica Dhamers, Rose Dhamers, Raya Dhamers; step children, Tyler Price, Stefanie Price, Jesse (Kayleah) Knowles; grandchildren, Avianna Hatfield, Corben Dhamers, Ceaton Jacob, Raylin Knecht, Malia Price, Liam Foster, Parker Foster, Marissa Kirby. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Dhamers; mother, Margaret Dhamers; and two brothers, Ricky and Timothy Dhamers.

The visitation will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia with family present from 5-7 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:30 am, with interment to follow in Haines Cemetery north of Centerville. Memorials may be directed to the family. Randy’s life was filled with love, laughter, and countless memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. We invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Randy to the memorial page—continuing his legacy and celebrating the remarkable life he led.
