The Fairfield girl’s tennis team recently gathered to celebrate an impressive season that included all-state recognition and highlighted the program’s depth of talent and team spirit.

Junior Natalie Steele earned third team all-state honors, capping off a standout season that saw her place eighth in singles at the state tournament earlier this month. The all-state recognition marks a significant achievement for Steele and the Fairfield program. Head Coach Travis Dunkin made note that this is a huge accomplishment.

Team Banquet Honors

At the team’s recent end-of-season banquet, players gathered to recognize their teammates’ contributions throughout the year. In a testament to the team’s collaborative spirit, all awards were voted on by the players themselves.

Poojita Mukadam took home the Most Valuable Player award, recognized by her teammates for her leadership and performance on the court.

Mareyn Dunkin earned Most Team Spirit honors, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the team throughout the season.

Sriya Yammanur was selected for the Best Teamwork award, exemplifying the collaborative approach that defined the Trojans’ season.

Anshal Waychal claimed Freshman of the Year honors, showing promise for the program’s future.

Faeven Gebremariam received the Most Improved Player award, demonstrating significant growth over the course of the season.

The awards and recognition highlight not only individual achievements but also the strong team culture that has been built within the Fairfield girls tennis program. With young talent emerging and experienced players leading the way, the Trojans appear well-positioned for continued success in future seasons.
