Tammy,35 and Jeramey,38 Shepard of Ottumwa are facing serious charges after reportedly leaving their two-year-old daughter in the care of a convicted sex offender. According to court documents, the couple allowed this individual to watch their daughter several times over the span of a year, despite being fully aware of his criminal background.

As a result of their actions, both parents were arrested and taken to the Wapello County Jail, where they are now facing charges of one count each of child endangerment, classified as aggravated misdemeanor. Following their arrest, they were released on a $1,000 cash/surety bond each.

Tammy and Jeramey are scheduled for pre-release hearings on September 19th at 10:00 AM.
