The National Weather Service is advising residents across portions of south central and central Iowa to be prepared for strong, gusty winds through early this afternoon.
Communities including Indianola, Norwalk, Carlisle, Pella, Knoxville, Oskaloosa, Osceola, Chariton, Albia, Ottumwa, Lamoni, Leon, Corydon, Seymour, Allerton, Humeston, Centerville, and Bloomfield may experience wind gusts ranging from 40 to 55 miles per hour, especially on the north side of passing thunderstorms.
