An Ottumwa man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing an individual last week.
29-year-old Gladwin Singeo has been charged with going armed with intent and willful injury, both Class D felonies.
At approximately 11:40 PM on August 18, court records say Singeo stabbed a person in the chest with a large knife. The incident occurred in the JBS parking lot on South Iowa Avenue in Ottumwa, according to police. Authorities say Singeo later admitted to attacking the victim who sustained a “small stab wound requiring medical attention.”
Singeo was arrested and transported to the Wapello County Jail where his bond has been set at $100,000.
Singeo has a preliminary hearing scheduled for August 29th. He’s been ordered to not have any contact with the victim.
