Shed/Barn Fire in Ottumwa: First Responders Battle Mud and Flames

This Saturday morning around 8 a.m., multiple first responders rushed to the scene of a shed/barn fire located at the intersection of Old Agency Road and Cliffland Road in Ottumwa. Fire crews quickly set up operations, using water pumped from a hydrant at E. Main Street and Merrouge Avenue to combat the flames.

The firefighters faced tough conditions as they made their way up a hill with heavy gear, navigating through muddy terrain left behind by recent rain. According to an Ottumwa firefighter, the shed/barn was primarily used for storage.
