The quilt is more than just a handmade creation—it’s a heartfelt symbol of appreciation and comfort, given to veterans who have served the country with dedication and courage.
Beyond his military service, Spitzer has been deeply involved in the local community. He’s worked as an associate at Walmart in Washington, served as a paramedic with Washington County Ambulance, and was one of the original members of Kalona First Responders. He also helped keep Kalona safe in the summers as a lifeguard and pool manager, and spent several years sharing his aviation skills as a flight instructor in the area.
Spitzer’s commitment to service—both in uniform and in his hometown—continues to leave a lasting impact.
