March’s domestic soybean crush numbers were strong.
The USDA says 207 million bushels of beans were crushed, rising 17 million from the previous month and 3 million from a year ago as producers tried to meet soybean product demand expectations.
Soybean meal and oil stocks were ended March 2025 below the March 2024 levels.
Corn for ethanol use was mixed during March.
The USDA says 454.197 million bushels were used for fuel alcohol production in March 2025, up 8% from February, but down 4% from March 2024.
That year-to-year decline can be tied to slightly lower producer margins.
Production of distillers dried gains with solubles was 1,805,691 tons, an increase of 7% on the month, but a decrease of 7% on the year.
