Residents and commuters in the area are advised of temporary traffic disruptions on Thursday, April 24, 2025, as part of the ongoing Market Street Gateway project. From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., trusses will be moved to the Market Street Municipal Lot, requiring the closure of the east end of the lot for unloading.
While the east end of the Municipal Lot will be off-limits during this time, the west part of the lot will remain open to parking. However, the closure may impact local transit routes, with buses continuing on their normal schedules but possibly facing altered access to the lot.
Additionally, there will be a brief closure of the Market Street Bridge while the contractor maneuvers the truck into the lot. Motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes during the closure window to avoid delays.
City officials are asking for patience and understanding as crews complete this important phase of the Market Street Gateway project.
