An Ottumwa man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison in federal court earlier this week.
According to court documents, 19-year-old Nolan Rork was on probation when, in April 2024, he removed his ankle monitor.
In June 2024, law enforcement located Rork, and a foot chase ensued. During the pursuit, Rork threw away a backpack that contained two loaded firearms and more than 60 grams of methamphetamine.
Rork was convicted for possession of a firearm by a felon and was sentenced to 125 months in federal prison. After serving his term, Rork will be required to serve a three-year term of supervised release.
