Judith Kae Stockham, 75, of rural Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on March 27, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 9, 1949 in University Park, Iowa to Virgil and Catherine Heslinga Anders. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School and then William Penn College. She would go on to receive her Master’s in Education from Northeast Missouri State University. Judy loved education and taught 2nd grade for Davis County for 32 years, retiring in 2004.

Judy married Daniel Stockham on February 14, 1981 at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church. They raised a son, Danny, and lived on a farm near Stiles for many years. She enjoyed gardening, doing word puzzles, and reading. Judy was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband; son, Danny Stockham of Bloomfield; three sisters, Connie Heberer of Pella, Iowa, Carol (Bill) Vertz of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Terri (Mike) Behl of Newton, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Phil Heberer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at noon on Monday with the family present to greet friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials have been established to Davis County Dollars for Scholars and Hospice Serving Wapello and Davis Counties.
