Officials from a national sandwich chain shed a little more light on the opening of a new location in Ottumwa.
The City of Bridges is currently listed as an “in development” location on Jersey Mike’s website, and Kyle Potvin, a member of Jersey Mike’s PR team, says the Ottumwa opening is expected to be in August.
Operating Partner Brian Melvin talked about what made Ottumwa an attractive location.
“Ottumwa is a growing town and we were happy to find a great location. We can’t wait to connect and serve the community.”
The new Jersey Mike’s location in Ottuwma will be at 1255 Theater Drive.
In the past four years, Jersey Mike’s has donated nearly $17 million to Feeding America, providing over 170 million meals through the organization’s nationwide network of 200 local partner food banks, according to Potvin.
Potvin says that in 2024, Jersey Mike’s raised more than $1 million for local community partners, including schools, hospitals, and other worthy organizations, as part of fundraisers to celebrate the openings of 323 new locations across the country.
Jersey Mike’s earned multiple awards last year including the top spot in the Fast Casual and Sandwich categories on Nation’s Restaurant News America’s Favorite Chains list and number one Best Sandwich Chain in America by Eat This, Not That!
