Goldie Marie Archer Denisar, 91, of Ottumwa, died at 8:27 a.m. March 27, 2025 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
She was born March 26, 1934 near Moulton to John W. and Harriet Lucylvia McGhghy Archer. She married Richard Denisar and he preceded her in death.
Goldie had been a short order cook and an in-home caregiver. She lived in Galesburg, IL for a short time before moving back to Ottumwa.
Goldie enjoyed cooking and caring for her flowers. She loved listening to country music, especially Alan Jackson and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Surviving are her children, Randy Archer of Davenport, Rhonda Archer of Albia and Gary Archer Redinger of Kansas; 2 grandchildren, Bobby Heriford of Fairfield and Savanah Archer of Eddyville; and great-granddaughter, Skylar Rider of Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by brothers Walter, Leslie “Ned”, Francis, Clifford, Lawrence, Ernie and Charles Archer; and 2 sisters, Geneva Swarts and Edna Frost.
Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31st at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1st at Shaul Cemetery.
