Wilma H.R. Arnold, 110, of Ottumwa, died at 5:00 a.m. February 26, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa
She was born October 11, 1914 in Agency to Cecil H. and Nita Proctor Miller. Wilma married Glen L. Arnold March 9, 1935 and he preceded her in death September 9, 2003.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Wilma taught one year in a country school before getting married. She was a farm wife, taking care of chickens and the garden. Wilma later worked as a Nurses Aid at the Ottumwa Hospital. She loved helping others and was a wonderful grandmother.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Becky (David) Botter of Gadsden, TN, Kris (Phil) Morgan of West Des Moines, Lisa (John) King of Chaska, MN and Greg (Wendy) Arnold of Denver, CO; ten great grandchildren, Preston Botter, Rebecca Botter, Brian Botter, Mary Caroline Botter, Olivia Botter, James Dennis Miller Botter, Natalie Morgan, Tessa Morgan, Rachel King and Mason Weinbach.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene (Carol) Arnold, and Dennis (Roberta) Arnold; siblings, Marvin Miller, Carl Miller, Kenneth Miller, Mildred Haines, and Berniece Long.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1st at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Visitation with her family present to greet friends will be one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery.
