Edna Pauline “Granny” Davis, 95, of Hedrick, died at 3:18 p.m. January 21, 2025 at Vista Woods Care Center in Ottumwa.
She was born October 23, 1929 in Farson to Gaylord Andrew and Mary Isabell Harrison Herman. She married Darrell Davis February 25, 1952 and he preceded her in death February 29, 2012.
A 1947 graduate of Farson High School, Pauline was a bookkeeper for 30 years for First National Bank, retiring in 1977.
Pauline enjoyed, embroidering, gardening, canning vegetables from her garden and she was a very good cook.
Surviving are her children, Tim (Mary) Davis of Ottumwa, Paula Hinnah of Sigourney and Mary (Rick) Heinrichs of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren, Andy (Maranda) Hinnah, Casey (Morgan) Hinnah and Sam (Kristin) Heinrichs; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sarah Beth Heinrichs; brother, Rex Herman; and son-in-law, Gordon Hinnah.
Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Friday, January 24th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.
Private graveside services and burial will be held at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
