James Earl Carter Jr. died at his home in Plains, Georgia, on December 29, 2024, at the age of 100.
National Day of mourning and State Furnel in Washington will be held January 9, 2025.
Carter was placed in Hospice care in February of 2023.He passed away at his home in
Plains,Georgia.
Carter will be laid to rest next to his wife Rosalyn (1927-2023).Burial will be at the Carter
Homestead in Plains,Georgia.
Biden asked for people all over the world to join in the observance and for the United States
Flag to be at half – mast for 30 days.
Jimmy Carter was the 39th President of the United Staes from 1977 – 1981.
He was the longest lived President in U>S> History and the 1st to live to be 100 years old.
