Christina Marie Showman, 71, of Ottumwa, died at 8:30 a.m. December 29, 2024 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born October 12, 1953 to Robert and Rose Etta Maxine Bailey Paulos. Chris married Jack Showman on July 9, 1983.
A 1973 graduate of Ottumwa High School, she had been a resident of Delta for 19 years, moving back to Ottumwa in December 2003.
She had worked for a short time at Ottumwa Country Club, Heady’s Restaurant and IHCC North Campus at the airbase. Chris loved to sew and do crafts. She loved her chihuahua, Sophie.
Chris was a member of Way of Peace Ministries.
Surviving is her husband, Jack; siblings, Mary Ann (Danny) Toubekis, Thelma L. Meeker, Roberta (James) Bradley and Paul D. (Sally) Paulos all of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Joseph M. Paulos and Stephen Paulos; and a sister, Margaret Scully; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Edith Showman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lyle and Doris Showman and sister-in-law, Linda Jean Showman.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 2nd at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Janet Lasley officiating.
The family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service Thursday.
Burial will be in Garrett Cemetery near Delta.
