Kay Linn Wells, 82, of Ottumwa, entered into eternal life on November 1, 2024 with her daughters by her side.
She was born September 1, 1942 in Sioux City to Robert and Louise Cairy Koch. She married Gary Linn May 12, 1962 and he preceded her in death April 19, 2004. She married Robert Wells November 4, 2010.
A 1960 graduate of East High School in Sioux City, Kay worked as the office manager in Dr. Ameln’s office for 27 years.
Kay loved spending time with her large extended family, friends and her beloved dog, Max. She also enjoyed going to casinos, hunting mushrooms, scratch off tickets and playing Bridge.
Surviving is her husband, Bob; 4 daughters, Teri (Mike) Sporer and their children, Rachel (Vince) and Kassie; Tracy (Jim) Kahl and their children, Jess (James), Nate (Alyssa) and Tim (Lauren); Pam (Neal) Jones and their children, Richie, Maryssa (A.J.) and Myriah; and Paula Muchmore (Brian Maddy) and her children, Sammie (Zach), Demi (Cody) and Brodie; 2 step-children, Kim (Steve) Brenizer and Brad (Aimee) Wells; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Larry (JoAnn) Koch, Tom (Durand) Koch, Barb (Mike) Foister, Linda (Dave) Kellen, Sandra (Harry) Clark and Brian Linn; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Louise Koch and her in-laws, Lloyd and Myrtle Linn.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 6th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. The family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service. Cremation will take place after the service.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society, Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties or The Lord’s Cupboard Food Pantry.
