With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Allen Beall, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on Tuesday November 19, 2024 at the age of 59, after courageous battle with cancer. He was a man whose kindness, integrity, and sense of humor touched the lives of everyone around him.
Born on November 9th, 1965, to Gary Lee Beall (Gloria Jean) and Arla Jean Behnke (George) Gary lived a life full of purpose and love. He was known for his generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand, offer words of encouragement, or simply brighten someone’s day with a warm smile.
Gary was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Jacquie, and together they shared 35 years of marriage. His love for her was unwavering. He was also a cherished father to Stephanie Munson of Hamilton, IL, Brently (Ariel) Beall of Pella, IA, and Lacey (Dakota) Kirchner of Keokuk, IA. He was a proud grandfather, lovingly named “Poopah” to Jasmine, Ethan, and Evelyn Munson, Brinley, Briella, Bentley, and Brenden Beall, and Henry, Blakelyn, and Maren Kirchner.
In his professional life, Gary worked in plastic extrusion. He was known for his in-depth knowledge and distinctive skills in the industry. He approached everything he did with dedication and a strong work ethic, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. Outside of work, he loved the Cincinnati Reds. His love of the game meant he spent countless hours at the ballfield, coaching his kids, and later in life enjoyed collecting, watching, and talking about all things baseball.
He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing, always eager to share these passions with others. His love for the outdoors was so strong that he and Jacquie spent their first date fishing together, setting the tone for a lifetime of adventure. He instilled this love in his children, and often welcomed friends to join in. As a proud grandfather, he loved fishing with his grandkids, creating memories that they hold dear.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lee Beall, his stepmother, Gloria Jean Beall, and his stepfather George Behnke.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren; His mother, three sisters, Barbara (Ron) Bryant, Terri (Randy) Visser, and Tina Garrett, and brother, Raymond (Ina) Beall; His mother-in-law, Mary (Robert) Hufendick and sister-in-law, Jolene (Mike) Howes, and son-in-law, James Munson; many nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation with family will be from 4:00 to 6:00PM on Monday November 25, 2024 at Cranston Family Funeral Home in Keosauqua (Pedrick Funeral Home). A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00PM, where family and friends are invited to share their memories and honor the life of a remarkable man following visitation. In lieu of flowers gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 28457 Nova Avenue, Mt. Sterling, IA 52573.
