A store manager and her boyfriend are accused of collaborating to steal nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise and cash from the store.

42-year-old Nicole Stone (LEFT) and 47-year-old Justice Hill (RIGHT) have each been charged with second-degree theft, a Class D felony.

According to court records, Stone, a former store manager of Dollar General, was seen taking three shopping carts full of items out to her boyfriend Hill. Stone was later seen returning the empty shopping carts to the store. The Oskaloosa Police Department says a district manager reported the theft on September 3.

Additionally, the district manager says the store was missing $227. It’s estimated the store was missing $1,997 in merchandise and money.

A warrant for Hill and Stone’s arrest was issued on September 12 and the pair were taken into custody on October 1.

Both Hill and Stone are currently in the Mahaska County Jail. The bond is $5,000 each.
