OPD: Three Arrested in Drug Bust

The Ottumwa Police Department says three individuals were arrested after drugs and other materials were found after the execution of a search warrant on Tuesday.

The search warrant was carried out at 318 Hermann Avenue at 2:30 PM. According to Lieutenant Jason Bell, authorities found distribution quantities of methamphetamine and evidence of drug distribution.

46-year-old Angela Lennie of Ottumwa was charged with possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine (Class B felony), possession with the intent to deliver marijuana (Class D felony), failure to affix drug tax stamp (Class D felony), and gatherings where controlled substances unlawfully used (Class D felony).

49-year-old Travis Vanveen of Ottumwa was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor.

64-year-old Steven White of Ottumwa was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

The trio were transported to the Wapello County Jail. They are currently being held without bond pending a hearing with a magistrate judge.

The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force also participated in the investigation.
