An unseasonably warm and windy Tuesday will give way to showers on Wednesday according to the National Weather Service.
A Wind Advisory has been issued for most of Iowa from Tuesday at 9:00 AM until Wednesday at 7:00 AM. Officials say wind from the south will blow at 25 to 35 mph, with gusts reaching 50 mph. The warm, dry weather increases the risk of fire, and driving on highways could be more difficult, especially in high-profile vehicles.
Tuesday’s high will be in the low 80s and will slightly drop to the mid-70s on Wednesday with rain starting in the afternoon.
