Gerald LeRoy Scully Jr., 56, of Kirkville, died October 7, 2024 at home.
He was born July 11, 1968 in Ottumwa to Gerald LeRoy and Margaret Elvira Paulos Scully Sr. He married Lori Martin on June 2, 1990 and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2005. He married Ami Vance on August 2, 2008.
Lee attended Ottumwa schools until 8th grade and then attended Eddyville schools. He worked 24 years for Iowa Wood Preserve in Oskaloosa, for 3 years for Al-Jon and since 2013 has worked for NMC Transport at the Chillicothe Power Plant.
Lee enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with family and having family cookouts down at the pond, and riding his Harley.
Surviving is his wife, Ami; their daughter, Seketta Scully of Kirkville; his children, Chelsea (Geal) Booto of Kansas City, MO, Briar (Julisa) Scully of Oskaloosa, Dezarae Scully of Oskaloosa; a step-daughter, Nikayla Leaf of Kirkville; 9 grandchildren, Maceal, Kayden, Drastyn, Amiyah, Phoenix, McKinnon, Caison, Wylder and Zayden; 2 sisters, Pennie (Mark) Dalbey and Denita (Gary) Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Bob and Rose Paulos, Roy Scully and Faye (Joe) Vignovick.
Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 10th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 11th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Eddyville.
