The Davis County Trails Council is inviting the public to the Ribbon Cutting Completion Ceremony of Phase 4 of the Davis County Community Trail.
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will occur on Saturday, October 26th at 9:00 am at the Davis County High School Baseball/Softball Field Area. (Old Highway 2, Bloomfield, Iowa next to the fairgrounds).
Organizers will celebrate with a brief statement and a ribbon cutting. The public is invited to walk and enjoy the trail.
The trail consists of 10- and 8-foot wide, concrete paved trail pathways in the Davis County High School Sports Complex Area.
The Council hopes the pathway will be enjoyed by the community and visitors for walking, running, biking, strollers, dog walking, etc., along with supporting the Davis County High School activities of Baseball, Softball, and Cross Country events for students and fans.
According to the Davis County Trails Council, the purpose of the trail system is to create an environment where individuals and families can get more active to improve their health, have a safe passage way to and from locations in the community, and also to create a place where families and individuals would like to visit and live.
