Barbara Hendrix, 79, of Ottumwa, formerly of Illinois died at 1:13 a.m. October 20, 2024 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born January 5, 1945 in Moline, Illinois to Robert and Juilian Horn. She married Irvin F. Hendrix on September 9, 1961 and he preceded her in death on November 21, 2020.
Surviving are her children; Connie (Brian) Murray, Bonnie (Jodi Ferrin) Johnson and John and Tammy Hendrix; 5 grandchildren, Misty Benore, Ryan Johnson, Ashley Lord, Elizabeth Haynes and Lucas Haynes; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Hendrix; a granddaughter, Amber.
Her body has been cremated. A time to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
Inurnment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in East Moline, IL at a later date.
