An Ottumwa man faces charges after attempting to burglarize a vehicle.
24-year-old Rickson Nedlick was charged with 3rd degree attempted burglary, 3rd degree burglary, and public intoxication.
On July 24 at 10:44 a.m, court records say Nedlick entered a parked vehicle on North Madison Avenue. According to authorities, Nedlick had the intent to steal the vehicle and the victim removed Nedlick.
Responding officers say Nedlick had watery eyes and emitted an odor of alcohol. Nedlick admitted to being intoxication and refused to give a breath sample.
Nedlick was taken to the Wapello County Jail. He was released and has a preliminary hearing on August 12.
