The Centerville Fire Department released three volunteers on Thursday.
On July 18, Chief Vern Milburn says he released three volunteer firefighters in order to improve the operations of the department. Chief Milburn states that the department continues to be staffed and they remain prepared to provide fire support to the community.
Chief Milburn states, “We appreciate the commitment and hard work of all our volunteers. This realignment is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that our fire department operates at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness.”
He continued, “We are confident in our ability to continue providing excellent fire support services to Centerville.”
The City of Centerville thanked the departing volunteers for their service and dedication.
