Kenny Farmer, 49, of Oskaloosa, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his home.
Kenneth Wayne Farmer, son of Kenneth Eugene and Anna Marie (Hutt) Farmer, was born June 8, 1974, in Rock Port, Missouri. His family lived in Coin, Iowa, and he attended school in College Springs. He was a 1992 South Page High School graduate and then worked for Huckins Masonry Construction in Clarinda, Iowa. On July 19, 2003, he married Kimberly Ann Playle in Osceola, Iowa. In 2006, the family moved to Oskaloosa, where Kenny took a position in the machine shop at Clow Valve Company. He was a member of Lifehouse Community Church. Kenny enjoyed playing guitar, watching the Chicago Bears football games, and spending time with family and friends in his free time.
His family includes his wife, Kimberly; his children, Makenna, Ellijah, and Evan Farmer; his father, Kenneth Farmer of Atlantic, Iowa; a sister, Anna Dawn (Jason) Guerrero of Clarinda, Iowa; and a brother, Brad Albert (Brandy) Farmer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
In addition to his mother, Kenny was preceded in death by a nephew, Payton Casteel.
As was his wish, Kenny’s body has been cremated. A Memorial Tribute will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions can be made to Oskaloosa Special Olympics. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with Kenny’s arrangements.
