The City of Ottumwa says citizens should exercise caution when near the Jefferson Drainage Ditch for the time being.
Due to a sanitary line bypass running to a pipe located in the Jefferson Drainage Ditch, it’s recommended that individuals not take part in any activities in this ditch until further notice. The city says it is this statement as a safety precaution.
