Pianist Eugene Gaub to Perform at FACC

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is thrilled to announce an enchanting evening of classical music featuring esteemed pianist Eugene Gaub. The concert will take place on April 9, 2024, at 7:30 pm at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. Admission is free.

Eugene Gaub, a beloved performer in Fairfield and beyond, is celebrated for his virtuosity and mastery of the piano. As a Professor of Music at Grinnell College and an internationally sought-after soloist, Gaub’s performances have graced prestigious venues from London to Chicago. His expertise lies in the interpretation of baroque and classical-romantic composers, enchanting audiences with his profound musicality and technical brilliance.

The concert is part of the Barhydt Spotlight Series, showcasing the talent of master organists and pianists while highlighting the splendor of the Barhydt Organ and Steinway grand piano.

Admission to all performances in the series is free, with voluntary donations gratefully accepted at the door ($10 suggested).

Eugene Gaub’s musical journey is illustrious and diverse. A graduate of the Juilliard School and the Eastman School of Music, Gaub’s accomplishments include a New York debut at Lincoln Center, performances at esteemed venues such as Weill Recital Hall and the Kennedy Center, and collaborations with renowned orchestras such as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Gaub’s dedication to his craft is evident in his continuous exploration of repertoire, including his recent mastery of Prokofiev’s Third Piano Concerto, which he premiered in 2022 with the Grinnell Symphony.
