Ireneo “Ren” Arimboanga Rosete, age 67, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa.

Ren was born February 21, 1956 in San Marcelino, Philippines, the son of Francisco and Juanita (Arimboanga) Rosete. Ren moved to the United States as a young adult where he met and married Dee Ann Yarnell, October 17, 1987. She
preceded him in death September 1, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Ren went on to marry his longtime friend of over 40 years, Teresa Ann Jeffrey, on July 3, 2020.

Ren was an accomplished electrical engineer and inventor. His career took him many places around the world, and he received numerous awards and recognitions. Ren’s career was a source of pride that he would talk about frequently.

When not working and after his retirement, Ren enjoyed running and was an avid golfer. He also loved spending time with his family talking and playing games as well as playing his guitar and keyboard. At the end of his day, he got great pleasure relaxing with his and Teresa’s Frenchie, Tilly.

Ren will be deeply missed by his wife, Teresa; 3 stepchildren, Rick (Lora) Kessler, Shawn (Sabrina) Orte, Jodi Rigler; brothers, Celso Rosete and Conrado “Tony” Rosete, and sister, Remedios Rosete-Bermudez; brothers-in-law, Gregg (Kathy) Yarnell, Kent (Tammy) Yarnell, and Ned Jeffrey; mother-in-law, Sandy Yarnell and his “other mother” Janet Haganman; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandchildren. Each of Ren’s many family members played a huge role in his life and were a tremendous source of love and joy.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dee, his parents Francisco and Juanita, and a grandson Caleb Heisel.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. with a visitation for friends and family from 3-5 P.M. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family, care of Teresa Rosete, 214 N Lincoln St Keota, IA

There will be food and fellowship immediately following the service at the Fairfield Elks Lodge at 51 S Main St.
