Timothy Allen Rogers, 58, of Floris, IA passed away on December 19, 2023, at his home, looking out the window at the river that brought him so much joy.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, IA with Pastor Mark Clark officiating.  Burial will be in the Iowaville Cemetery immediately following the service.  A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, IA with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers the family respectfully

Timothy Allen Rogers was born on July 4, 1965, in Ottumwa, IA to Allen and Sarah Jones Rogers. Tim attended Cardinal Community School District, graduating with the class of 1984. Tim’s work strong work ethic led him to immediately join the workforce with Winger Contracting. He went into the apprenticeship program in 1988, graduating in 1992 and becoming a journeyman steamfitter for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 33. He was a dedicated employee for many years until his retirement. Tim always found peace in nature and especially the Des Moines River. It was the view that he wanted, surrounded by family in his final days. His willingness to help anyone and offer support when needed made him a friend to many. He called Eldon his home for his entire life. The memories that he made there with family and friends will live on in the stories that are shared for generations to come. Tim leaves behind a legacy of dedication to his family and those lucky enough to call him friend.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dan Christensen.

Left to share his story is his stepdaughter, Sylvia (Tyler) Wagler of Douds, IA; a grandson, Ely Wagler; his sister, Alana Rogers; special friend, Debb Murphy, as well as being a special member of the Franklin Family and an uncle to several nieces and nephews.
