Patsy Roberts, 74, of Oskaloosa, IA, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023, at Mahaska Health Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.

Patsy Jean Roberts, daughter of Maston Hunter and Vivian Lois (Gravett) Jones, was born January 19, 1949, in Bloomfield, IA. Patsy grew up living in Troy, IA, attended Davis County High School, and graduated with the class of 1967. She married Ralph Roberts in Bloomfield on November 24, 1968, and the couple settled in Oskaloosa in 1972, where they remained through her passing.

Patsy and Ralph were blessed with two sons, Shane and Brandon, and she loved spending her early years at home with them and time with Ralph and friends, sewing and gardening. When the boys got older, she entered the workforce as a legal assistant and spent many wonderful years with Heslinga, Dixon, and Hite Law Firm. She always enjoyed gardening and baking, especially when she got to do it with her grandchildren. Patsy had a special way of viewing the world. She believed in people, always wanted to help those in need (including each and every stray animal that came her way), and had many dear friends for whom she would do anything. Family was her world; she spent her life making life better for all of them.
Her family includes her husband, Ralph Roberts of Oskaloosa; her sons, Shane (Jen) Roberts of Omaha, NE, and Brandon (Emma) Roberts of Oskaloosa; her grandson, Patrick Roberts of Omaha; her granddaughters, Brooklyn and Jordan Roberts of Oskaloosa, her siblings, Anna Marie (Andy) Anderson of Adel, IA, James A. Jones of West Des Moines, IA, Susan Kay (Ed) Foy of Indianola, IA and Cheryl Lynn (Bruce) Porter of Indianola, and many nieces and nephews.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and a niece.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the Langkamp Funeral Chapel, with the family present from 4-6 p.m. to greet friends and relatives.
