Douds, IA– The Douds Community Club held their Veteran’s Day Pancake Breakfast on Saturday. The event was a huge success, seeing well over 100 plates of pancakes and sausage served in the first two hours. Being a tight knit community, the tradition was continued through Covid making this the 67th consecutive Pancake Breakfast.
Douds, an unincorporated village, receives no tax revenue and the community depends on the money raised from this event to maintain the Community Building, up keep for the city park and to pay for the street lighting. Volunteers like Cohen Philips and Jim Pedrick help make this event possible. Thank you for your service.
