A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident in Appanoose County on Monday.
The Iowa State Patrol says a Mack truck tractor was traveling east on Highway 2 and was turning north onto Farm Drive.
The accident report states a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 53-year-old Jeffery George Salstrand of Centerville was traveling west and struck the right rear of the trailer the Mack truck was pulling.
Salstrand was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines where his current status is unknown.
The accident occurred at 6:05 p.m., according to the crash report.
