Donna Hervey, 85 of Mount Sterling passed away on Monday October 16, 2023 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.  Funeral service for Donna will be at 11:30AM on Friday October 20, 2023 at the Anson Community Church in Revere, MO with Pastor Andrew Moore officiating.  Visitation will open at 2:00PM with family present from 5:00 to 7:00PM on Thursday October 18, 2023 at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.  Burial in Harness Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service.  Memorials in Donna’s honor to Harness Cemetery may be left at the funeral home, church or mailed to the family at 24766 275th Street, Mt. Sterling, IA 52573.
Donna was born on June 13, 1938 in Wyaconda, MO to Charley and Helen (Sisson) Bricker.  Donna lived in Wyaconda until the family moved to Kahoka, MO in 1953 where she graduated salutatorian from Kahoka High School in 1957.  She married Gaylord Livesay on August 23, 1959 in Kahoka and the couple lived in rural Luray from 1958 to 1964.  They moved to Van Buren County where she raised their children on the family farm.  Donna lived in Van Buren County until 1993 when she married Wayne Hervey and they moved to Burlington to manage a large apartment complex.  They later moved to Cedar Falls for three years until Wayne passed away suddenly and she returned to Clark County until she was admitted to the Bloomfield Care Center due to a severe stroke.

Donna taught piano lessons and kept the books for Bricker Insurance Agency in Kahoka.  She had worked at the FSA office, Van Buren County Hospital, Good Samaritan Center and the County Home all in Keosauqua and Books are Fun in Fairfield.  She also owned the Mexico Egg Ranch in Mexico, MO and was a district manager for Conklin Company.  Donna received the Regents Scholarship to attend Northeast Missouri Teacher College in Kirksville where she majored in Business.

Donna was baptized at the Wyaconda United Method Church by Rev. Morrison. She transferred her membership to the Kahoka UMC when they moved.  She played the piano for church services as well as led the youth choir.  Upon her marriage, she transferred her membership to the Center Chapel Church in rural Keosauqua, where she played the piano and organ.  In her retirement she became a member of the Anson Community Church, playing the organ for services for the last 17 years.  While her children were in school, she was an active member of the music and band boosters and was happy to help with all of their activities. 

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Rodney Livesay (Sheila) and Charles Livesay (Billie Jo) all of Van Buren County, a daughter, Charlotte Followwill (Mark) of Bloomfield, grandchildren,  Curtis Bricker Livesay (Melissa) of Bloomington, IL,  Katie and Chad Hedrick, Karen and Nik Fitch, Kayla Livesay all of Van Buren County, Melana Followwill of Bloomfield, Andrew & Chelsea Waudby and Courtney Merrill of Muncie, IN, Cameron Yahl of Godfrey, IL and Kaylee Yahl of Van Buren County.great-grandchildren Chloe, Chase and Canyon Hedrick, Abby and Elijah Bricker Livesay, Elaina & Thea Waudby, and Eloise Krystofiak.

Donna was preceded in Death by parents Charley & Helen Bricker, husband, Wayne Hervey and a brother, Eugene Bricker, who died at age 4.
