Main Street Partnership Grant

Albia, IA- Curb appeal is one of the most important factors in running a successful retail business.  In rural down towns across the country, disinvestment has made it difficult to preserve significant architectural resources and sustain economic vitality.  Coordinated, small-scale facade improvements have the power to not only preserve valuable historic resources in rural communities, but also to spur economic growth in the surrounding area.  Albia Chamber Main Street administers our Main Street Partnership Grant to help building and business owners with small facade improvements, signage, business development, and to assist with future grant matching funds.

Blade Signs are the eligible project for 2023.   Blade signs are an essential way-finding tool for commercial buildings.

Consistency is very important to visual appeal and a must for city approval, so our Albia Chamber Main Street Design Committee has a designated sign and bracket.  Eligible projects will work with the Design Committee to order the signs, ensuring design ordinances are met, and coordinate installation.  The Design Committee will also offer design assistance on all signs.

Contact Main Street Albia via email at director@albiachambermainstreet.org, no later than 1pm on Wednesday, August 23rd to be considered for a reimbursable $250 grant.  The first 20 applicants will receive this grant. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
