The Chariton Valley Electric Operation Round Up® Foundation Board is proud to announce two local organizations as the recipients of Operation Round Up®’s 2023 first quarter funds.
Monroe County Helping Hands was awarded $6,843.11 to aid in Phase II of their Structural Integrity Project which includes replacing the gravel alley way with concrete. This project will allow for large semis and tractor/trailers to offload pallets of food for their food pantry which is utilized by many Monroe County residents.
Monroe County Public Health was awarded $750 to purchase four first aid kits for the Monroe County Fairgrounds. Providing these kits will help in the response to and management of incidents at the fairgrounds, which will in turn, increase safety for the county’s youth and general public.
CVEC is grateful our members continue to donate their small change each month that is impacting lives locally. We hope our membership continues to see the value and benefit this program brings to the communities we serve.
