Police arrested a Pella teacher based on accusations that she sent anonymous letters to harass the family of a member of the Tulip Time court.

Chandra Clark, 53, was charged with third-degree harassment, a simple misdemeanor.

Court records say last December, Clark mailed the victims photos of their daughter which had edited captions containing vulgar language.

According to police, the letters were mailed to the family and local organizations associated with Tulip Time with the intention of tarnishing the reputation of a girl. Clark later admitted to mailing the letters to authorities.

Clark was arrested on March 11. She was later released on her own recognizance.

Clark has a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 10th.

Clark is a gifted and talented teacher at two elementary schools in the Pella Community School District. Clark has been placed on leave according to the district’s superintendent.

One of the victims filed a no-contact order against Clark.
