Steven Jay Boley, 64, of St. Petersburg, FL, and formerly of Keosauqua, IA passed away on Monday December 5, 2022, at his home in Florida. As were his wishes, his body has been cremated. A private family burial will be held in the Lebanon Cemetery. A time to share stories and visit with family and friends will begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua
with the family present from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Steven’s honor may be directed to the Lebanon Cemetery Association. Friends may leave online condolences at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
Steven Jay Boley was born on November 6, 1958, in Keosauqua, IA to Wayne and Maxine Miller Boley. He attended school in Van Buren and graduated with the High School Class of 1977. Steven went on to further his education at St. Petersburg College where he received his Associates Degree. He began working as a medical transcriptionist and spent many years in Washington State, and most recently in Florida. Steven loved to visit his family and friends in Iowa but after living in Florida for years, he decided he didn’t care for the Iowa winters. He always remained an Iowa fan and supported the Iowa Hawkeyes. Steven was a traveler who visited many states to enjoy their hiking trails. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Left to honor his memory is his brother, Keith (Jane) Boley of Cantril, IA; one niece and two nephews; three great nieces and two great nephews, as well as many extended family and friends.
