Wesley Alan Gridley, 41, formerly of Ottumwa, died November 15, 2022.
He was born November 28, 1980 in Fort Riley, KS to Randy Dean and Debra Heckethorn Gridley.
Wes had worked at JBS in Ottumwa, at Hy-Vee in Chariton and for Stout’s Concrete. He enjoyed music, mysteries, nature hiking, skateboarding, biking and hanging out with friends and family.
Surviving is his daughter, Lily Ann Bowers of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Mya Bowers; his mother, Debbie Gridley; grandparents, Don and Juanita Heckethorn; brothers, Joshua Gridley and Matthew Gridley; uncle and aunt Ed and Renee Campbell; uncles, Rick Gridley, Doug (Lois) Heckethorn and Sam Heckethorn; aunts, Rhonda (Jason) Adams and Pam Sevier; and his companion, Marissa Ash.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Gridley; grandmother, Beverly Wilson; grandfather, Gerald Gridley; and uncles, Greg Heckethorn and Neal Heckethorn.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 22nd at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Cremation will follow the services. The family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
