A car rammed into a tractor and resulted in the death of a Marion County man on Saturday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a Ford 7000 tractor driven by 72-year-old Harold Jay Gorter of Otley was traveling westbound on Highway 163 at 2:15 PM.
The accident report states a 2002 Honda Accord driven by 41-year-old Chad Birkenholtz of Otley ran into the back of the tractor.
Gorter was ejected from the tractor and sustained fatal injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
