Warriors split a conference doubleheader with Falcons

The Van Buren County Warriors spilt a conference twin bill with West Burlington losing game one 10-7 and winning game two 19-2

The Warriors were the home team in game one, as the first game was a make-up game from earlier in the season. After a 1-2-3 inning for the Falcons, the Warriors would strike for three runs in the bottom of the first highlighted by a Jackson Manning RBI. After one the Warriors lead 3-0. The Falcons would take the lead scoring two in the second inning and 5 in the third inning, highlighted by a Gabe Zurita two-run home run. The Warriors would trail 7-5 after four innings. The Falcons extended their lead with a big sixth inning to lead 10-5 going to the bottom of the sixth. The Warriors would cut the lead to 10-7, highlighted by a Jackson Manning two-run home run. The Falcons would go on to win 10-7.

In-game two the Warriors exploded for 19 runs. The game was tied after one at 1, as Taylor Sprouse drove in the first run of the game. Over the next three innings, the Warriors would blow the game open scoring 14 runs. Including 6 in the second, 3 in the third, and 5 in the fourth. In the fifth, the Warriors would extend their lead with a Jackson Manning grand slam for his second home run of the doubleheader to lead 19-1. The Falcons would tally one but the Warriors would go on to win 19-2 in five innings

After the doubleheader the Warriors are now 6-9, West Burlington is now 5-7
