The Van Buren County Warriors defeated the Holy Trinity Catholic Crusaders 4-3 in eight innings

The game would start out slowly as both teams would not score in the two and a half innings. It was in the bottom of the third when the Warriors would break through for a 3-spot to take the early 3-0 lead after three innings. The Crusaders would surge back with three runs of their own in the top of the fifth to tie the game at 3. The score after five would hold at 3-3. Both pitchers would then lock down in the 6th and 7th to send the game in to extra innings. After Warrior starter Alli Campbell sat the Crusaders down scoreless in the top of the 8th it would give the Warriors a chance to walk the game off. That is just what the Warriors would do when Junior Jade Balmer knocked in the game winning run with a walk-off single.

Junior Warrior pitcher Alli Campbell had a nice outing going 8 innings pitched (Complete Game Win), 6 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run, 3 walks and 8 strikeouts.

The win moves the Warriors to 10-11, and the loss drops the Crusaders to 9-9
