Davis County took advantage of its opportunities while Wayne failed to capitalize on theirs in a 10-0 Mustang win in Bloomfield on Tuesday afternoon.

In a game moved up by two hours in anticipation of bad weather, Caedyn Glosser went 3-3 at the plate with a triple and four runs scored. The senior shortstop was one of four Mustangs that had a multi-hit effort.

On the mound, Dalton Reeves pitched into (six walks) and out of trouble (no runs allowed) during his three-inning outing. Nolan Cremer allowed just one base runner in the two scoreless innings he pitched in relief.

Wayne managed two hits but stranded nine runners.

An RBI single by Davis County’s Dawson Townsend chased Wayne knuckleballer R.C. Hicks in the second inning. Townsend drove in two more runs in the third inning with a two-run double.

Davis County (2-0) will play Knoxville Wednesday night at the Mustang Sports Complex in its South Central Conference opener.
