Patricia Louise Deiters, 87, of Ottumwa died at 1:25 p.m. April 23, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
She was born November 3, 1934 in Ottumwa to Louis and Mary Ruth Simpson Booth. She married Charles Rex Deiters on November 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2016.
Patty was a graduate of Ottumwa High School and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ottumwa. She loved traveling, reading and baking.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Tari) Deiters of Ottumwa, Susan (Paul) Rieger of Bryan, TX and Sandra Deiters (Keith Cleveland) of Dallas, TX; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Deiters, Ashley Van Gordon, Taylor Rieger, Chase Rieger, Alexandra Rieger, Luke Rieger, Jack Cleveland, Dakota Deiters, Savannah Law and Vanessa Deiters; two great grandchildren, Jacobe Deiters and Noah Van Gordon; a sister, Mary Margaret Kinman of Kansas City, MO; a brother, James (Becky) Booth of Fort Mohave, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Booth.
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7th at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Patrick Hilgendorf presiding. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the Mass. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
