Miller-Meeks Announces 2022 Congressional Art Competition

Representative Miller-Meeks has formally announced the start of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition for the Second District.

The annual competition is conducted by the U.S. House of Representatives to showcase the talent of high school students from across the nation. Miller-Meeks’ announcement was specifically for the Second Congressional District which she represents. The winner of this year’s event will receive two round-trip tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend a reception honoring the winner from each Congressional district and will have their work displayed in the halls of the U.S. Capitol for one calendar year. Runners-up will have the opportunity to have their art put on display in Miller-Meeks’ offices in Ottumwa and Davenport.

The competition is open to all 9th through 12th grade students who either reside in or attend school in the Second Congressional District of Iowa. Rules and submission guidelines as well as submission instructions and student release forms are available at millermeeks.house.gov. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 22 at 5:00 P.M.
