Benji married Sunny Jo Kratofil, and to this union, Colton Chad was born. The couple later divorced. On February 14, 2020, Benji was united in marriage to Christine Knapp.
Following high school, Benji farmed for a period of time. His true passion was fencing, so he started his business, Deep Woods Fencing, and he fenced for most of his life.
In his free time, Benji enjoyed Coyote hunting, fishing, riding his mules, smoking meats and grilling, and farming-especially his cattle. Benji had a special love for children, and they had a special fondness for him. He could get them to work and enjoy it! Benji made a lot of friends throughout his life. His door was always open for friends and family.
