Harold Lee Brewer, 73, of Batavia, died March 3, 2022 at his home.
He was born July 20, 1948 in Ottumwa to Howard Leo and Margaret A. Wood Brewer.
Harold had worked for John Morrell & Co until the plant closed, was a supervisor for Plexco and had owned and operated The House of Chrome in Batavia for 22 years.
Harold enjoyed building hot rods, drag racing and loved his little dog, Mary Wilda.
Surviving is his companion of 45 years, Jane Millard Brewer; a son, Kenny L. Brewer; 2 grandchildren, Kayley Brewer and Clayton Jay (Cassie) Brewer; 4 great-grandchildren, Lilly Hernandez, Layne Hernandez, Hunter Brewer and Kenleigh Brewer; and his siblings, Howard Leo Brewer, Lucy Courtney, and Glenn (Susan) Brewer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Brewer Sr.; his mother, Margaret Brewer Mull; and siblings, Gail Greene Brewer, Ted Brewer and Tim Brewer.
Per Harold’s wishes, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.
